F*ck Sense

After a series of being told too often, by others, that my creative inputs ‘don’t make sense‘ and that they mostly ‘mean nothing’,
I focused all my energy to creating this piece of art.

A self expression of my inner turmoil and a rebellion towards my frustrations, this illustration is a nonsensical combination of my daily habits, the turmoil i felt, and illogical ruminations, depicted in a surrealistic manner. It was meant to confuse and evoke questions with no answers or context.

TLDR: it is an art piece derived from criticisms and my feelings towards them.

P*NK Zine
P*NK (pronounced as ponk) is a new concept that I am trying to explore. Fundamentally derived from the words Pink and Punk, the current series showcases some initial self-explorations in a spontaneous and carefree approach to encourage creativity and discovery in it’s raw-est unfiltered form.

P*NK is for everyone and anyone can be P*NK 🤘

Indepenguins
Indepenguins is a movement that strives to empower youths to read without the fear of judgement and stigma. It also strives to inculcate a community of brave and independent youth readers.

Its campaign aims to de-stigmatize reading and builds reading readiness in youths. It connects readers and authors during times when guards are down, providing a better experience that can lead to a better chance for a better future.

There are many reasons why reading is a challenge for youths. The stigma associated with reading books is one that has been prevalent throughout the years. Of all reasons to not read, fear should not be it. Amongst a sea of youths, it is often the forgotten and invisible at-risk youths that can benefit from reading the most, making them an important group to target.

The Full Monty
The Full Monty is a magazine that explores the concealed world of street art in Singapore. The magazine covers the historical beginnings of Graffiti and it’s metamorphosis into an art form of it’s own. It also features first-hand interviews with prospering local artists of the art form and explores this underground culture that is hidden within the conservative nature of Singapore.

The validity of graffiti as a form of art has been a debate that is as old as time, yet the Full Monty challenges this notion with a little trip down memory lane to the history of art. The Full Monty questions society’s exclusivity towards art and brings forward new perspective. It is magazine made for street art junkies and budding padawans.
