Drawn from pure frustration, the illustration serves to portray the menaces within the systems of society. As the menace attempts to allure with a snapdragon flower, he is met with resilience and defiance by the new generation, as embodied in the little girl. Snapdragons are said to represent both deception and graciousness, in which the drawing aims to symbolise the deceptions concealed within false acts of kindness (common gifts of corrupt systems, served with cunning smiles).
This is a story of resistance and hope in the new generation, whom all looked the same but is evidently a little different than before. Her eyes clear and wide open, staring right back into the hollow eyes of the menace. She is aware and stands her ground. Watch as the story within the same drawing reverse before your eyes, as the new generation could also be the one that has risen in power, whilst the menace becomes the one whom has to kneel before her, attempting to offer gifts for allegience-sake.
...And all that will be returned is nothing but cold hard stares of indifference.
